How do I book the massage I want?

I charge by the hour, not by the tool I use. I have worked in multiple settings from resort spas to local small business day spas to acupuncture clinics to moving independent. I often incorporate hot towels and hot stones on a whim. If there is a request for something specific in your treatment (such as hot stone focus, prenatal, intra oral TMJ massage, lymphatic drainage), please note at time of booking either through the Vagaro software or via email or text.

What should I wear?

Come as you are! You will be given privacy to undress to your level of comfort and get under the covers, which will be draped to keep you covered aside from the body part receiving work. At the end of your session, you'll be given privacy to get up and get dressed. If you are coming straight from work, you might consider bringing a comfortable change of clothes for after your treatment.

What does 'your level of comfort' mean?

Exactly that! You have the right to feel comfortable, and the right to ask questions or stop the treatment at any time for any reason. The styles of massage that I use are most effective skin on skin, so I will always say less is better.

How often should I get massage?

The broad answer is every 2 to 5 weeks. Many find every 4 weeks works well for their goals, budget, and schedule. Consistency is key to get the most out of receiving massage therapy.

Do you accept tips?

Gratuity is accepted and appreciated, but is absolutely never expected. I charge what I need to without relying upon tipping. It is far more important to me that you are getting the care you need.

Do you have to go to school for this?

Yes! In New York, to become a Licensed Massage Therapist you must complete a minimum 1000 hour program including education in anatomy and physiology, myology, neurology, pathology and plenty of hands on hours before you can sit for the licensing exam.
